The name we choose for our high performance slalom racing collection it’s the name of a special city and place in Italy, where real “4 wheels” dreams are designed, and made, to match the best combination between speed, quality and foolishness. Obviously we’re talking about Modena.
Modena 98, Modena 118 and Modena 138 are our brand new AV-Boards slalom weapons designed and developed to achieve the best acceleration and speed performances in all the kind of conditions you can find on the racing fields. The top of the performances with the unmatchable AV-Boards handling comfort, control in overpowered conditions and gybe ability. Modena, the best combination between speed, quality and a dream design!
Full sandwich 90 kg/m3 + stringer double sandwich and carbon layers under the feet, Carbon BX reinforcements under the whole step zone to the mast track. We use 3 axis Carbon to give the right stiffness depending the board features and its program. Bottom reinforced with double sandwich stinger + Carbon to keep the same shape also after years of heavy use
Flat scoopline on the tail with a very straight bottom curve until 150 cm from tail, then lifting toward a very higher nose. Bottom shape with a constant V and a light 0,5 mm double concave. Straight outline on the mid section toward the nose, while the outline kinks into a narrower curve from the front foot toward the tail, making this board the fastest on the market! The rail are shaped to have the best comfort and power on the reach under the feet. The 15 mm deck concave around the mast allows to lower the center of gravity and gain control and speed during overpowered sailing
Flat scoopline from tail toward the front foot, with an emphasized curve toward the nose. Light 2mm V from Tail to mid section, and then a deeper V (5mm max) toward the nose, with a light 0,5mm double concave. The board features a 72,5 cms wide to have a wider range of use, but the outline is similar to all the boards of the Modena range, with parallel lines in the mid zone, narrow curve on the tail and wide curve toward the nose. The rails shape allow great control and comfort to hold down the sail power, that means higher speed on the water, doesn’t matter if choppy or not
Flat scoopline from the tail to the heel of the front foot. V bottom shape on the tail and light 1,5 mm single concave between the feet, switching into a flat with 16 mm V at 150 cms from tail, to finish into a flat under the nose. This way you have a kind of cushion effect on the tail that allows you to perform your gybes full speed with great easiness
